Craig Austin Evans is an artist who lives in Kansas City, MO. Craig’s art is heavily influenced by his Native American background and a combination between Expressionism and Post-Impressionism. In 2001 he earned a BFA with an emphasis in Sculpture from Central Missouri State University. Craig has received recognition for his artwork since he was 15. He has painted freelance murals and signs for various clients. Craig finds it important to examine one’s inner self as well the history and culture of one’s family and heritage. His preferred medium is charcoal on paper, but he also utilizes mixed-media sculptures and acrylic on canvas. Through the application of his medium Craig tries to express the energy or experience of an event as well as introduce new images.
